COVID-19 has been wreaking havoc in our homes since 2020 until now, and we all need to stay calm and be ready for every situation we can.
Disinfecting your home is one of many ways you can stay COVID free in your household, and we’ve created five hacks you need in your cleaning routine to ensure you keep your house spotless this 2022!
Get rid of carpet stains
Nobody likes an eyesore of a carpet stain, and we all know it can be a handful to remove at times. What if we told you that removing it is just easy?
First, mix vinegar and water (ratio 1:3) and apply the mixture to the stain. After that, cover the blot with a wet cloth, take the iron, set the Steam mode and iron the fabric for about half a minute. Repeat the procedure for every stain.
Clean your windows
Your windows are your eyes to the outside world, and it wouldn’t be nice if there were stains and dust marks on them.
First, you have to apply some baking soda on the tracks and add some vinegar to the same surface to clean them. Then, after a few minutes, take a toothbrush and scrub the tracks. Finally, wipe all the cleaned traces with a dry cloth.
Polish the skirting boards
Skirting boards are prone to getting dirt and dust, so cleaning must be on your list of priorities. Prepare tepid water, add some soap to it, dip a cleaning cloth in it and start polishing the baseboards. Make sure not to smear the walls, though. In the end, wipe all the cleaned boards with a dry cloth.
Brush the sink area
Food particles from plates left to soak or rinsed from dishes can be a breeding ground for illness-causing bacteria. So it is crucial to keep your sinks clean and free from germs, especially in these times.
All you need is a pinch of baking soda, some lukewarm water, and a toothbrush. Put the soda on the toothbrush and clean the faucet and the sink. Also, if there’s a dish rack on the sink area, remove all the crockery and cutlery from it and give it a proper clean.
Clean your showerheads
This is a fantastic hack you can do to clean your showerheads and get every dirt out. Fill up a zippered plastic bag with diluted white vinegar. Then, twist and tie it around your shower head or bathroom or kitchen faucet, and leave it overnight to naturally break down and remove all the grimy buildup.
These are small steps that can make a significant change in protecting your family from COVID-19 and hopefully get your house squeaky clean for 2022!
