A year of strategic growth and success
[lwptoc]I have no doubt that 2022 will go down as the most successful in our agency’s history thus far.
The year started with booming market conditions across the southeast with strong buyer demand and soaring sales prices continuing until the third quarter of the year.
However, even as interest rates started to rise and some of the heat dissipated from the market, our sales agents continued to record successful results for their vendor clients given the ongoing buyer demand in our region.
On top of that, the past year has been one where our rental markets have continued to be impacted by a critical undersupply of properties.
This has meant that rents in our region have experienced double digit percentage price growth with dozens of applications for rental properties from tenants becoming the norm.
Strategic growth
Throughout this year of market change, however, our agency experienced its most successful period ever with an impressive increase in listings and sales as well as strategic growth in team numbers.
Compared to 2021, the number of new Image Property agents has increased a record 97 per cent. However, it must be noted that this was managed and strategic growth.
Indeed, regardless of the wider market conditions, we have kept marching on, and those that are joining us are doing so for the right reasons and for the long term, too.
What we always set out to do is grow with the right people and that has certainly been the case this year.
Our rising numbers of agents have correspondingly resulted in an impressive uptick in listings – which increased some 37 per cent compared to last year.
With more listings, we have been able to secure more successful sales for our vendor clients, with 30 per cent more sales recorded this year than last year.
Of course, the property management side of our business is an equally important part of our agency and has been going from strength to strength over recent years with this year no exception. In fact, we secured 477 new property managements in the past year.
Our landlord and landlady clients have also benefitted from our superior management systems and the professionalism of each one of our property management teams.
Success celebration
The past year has been an extraordinary one for everyone in our agency.
One thing that we have always remained committed to is our agency culture because we believe that the team should enjoy what they do and be rewarded appropriately, too.
Not only do our team report having a better work/life balance than in previous agencies, but our sales agents are also rewarded with having access to 100 per cent of their sales commissions.
We have always prioritised agency culture, which is why every year we take all of our team away on an annual retreat.
This year was the biggest one yet with our entire team celebrating the year together on the Sunshine Coast. It was the most enjoyable and constructive retreat we have ever had without a doubt!
As we head into the holiday season, I would like to thank all of our hard-working Image Property team and agents for their commitment and perseverance as well as recognise every one of their successes this year.

We are all looking forward to working together again next year – which is bound to be another successful one for our growing team!
